An air velocity transmitter, such as the Series AVLV, Model AVLV-1DA1, detects air velocity or volumetric flow in either imperial or metric values with speed and accuracy. All models provide simultaneous current and voltage outputs that allow for universal inputs to monitoring devices. Local DIP switches can be used to customize the output range, units, and 0-5/10 VDC, 4-20 mA output. One handy way to configure the device and monitor process values locally is to use the portable remote tool or the optional integral display. To meet a range of needs, models are offered in low velocity ranges and accuracy levels of 1% and 2%. Additionally, units can be daisy-chained and all velocity and flow data, along with extra information like air temperature, can be accessed via the optional BACnet MS/TP or Modbus® RTU/ASCII communication protocol. These high precision units' lower ranges make them suitable for use in high-quality settings like the pharmaceutical sector.
