The F126-EG flow computer was designed to compute corrected gas volume under typical circumstances. By measuring the uncorrected volumetric flow, actual line temperature, and pressure—all of which are processed using equations kept in the flow computer—one can determine the corrected volumetric flow. One can adjust a compressibility factor to approximate the behavior of a real gas. It is possible to define the reference conditions as desired (e.g., 1.013 bar and 15°C or 60°F).
The display indicates the real line temperature and pressure in addition to the corrected flow rate, total, and accumulated total. Nm³ and other on-screen engineering units are readily configurable from a wide range of options.
