Diamond Files

Diamond files are made by nickel electroplating diamond onto steel blanks. The finer the grit of the file, the smaller the particles. This is why diamond files, like sandpaper, are referred to in grits. The smaller the grit and the finer the finish, the higher the number. A 600 grit diamond file, for example, will be significantly finer than a 220 grit.
