Proven primary standard
The model CPB3500 dead-weight tester is a true primary standard, with its fundamental equation p = F/A allowing it to measure pressure directly.
This mechanical measurement technique provides excellent long-term reliability and stability, eliminates most measurement error hazards, and lowers calibration uncertainties. As a result, the CPB3500 is an excellent tool for daily calibration of all types of pressure measuring instruments.
Robustness and modularity
The instrument is constructed of a durable, solid aluminium base with a light, corrosion-resistant ABS case.
Piston cylinders are interchangeable throughout the CPB3500's many versions, allowing any CPB3500 tester to be easily updated to other possible ranges in the event of changing requirements.
Within the claimed standard accuracy, mass sets are totally interchangeable amongst pistons of the same range. The mass set is made of non-magnetic stainless steel, resulting in exceptionally stable masses throughout time.
By replacing a suitable transfer standard for the piston and mass set, bases may be rapidly transformed into a comparator.
